United Way of Northwest Illinois was awarded $1,703.85 in our 2022 Spring Grant cycle. Community Care Cupboards are small structures filled with personal hygiene items available to those in need. The United Way of Northwest Illinois (UWNI) will build and install two Community Care Cupboards in the vicinity of Carl Sandburg Middle School and Freeport Middle School/Freeport High School, to target the need of those schools’ student populations. The Community Care Cupboards will be built, installed & stocked as part of UWNI’s annual Day of Action on June 23, 2022, by volunteers.
