The Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) creates meaningful opportunities for young professionals to engage with and fuel their passion for community engagement and philanthropy. ELN is a group committed to driving community impact through engagement with community-based organizations and local leadership. ELN members raise awareness in their personal and professional circles, make philanthropic commitments, and serve as ambassadors for The Foundation for Northwest Illinois.
​ELN offers an exciting platform for leadership, community engagement, and personal growth, including:
- Personal growth and development through volunteer work and leadership opportunities.
- Participation in round tables, convenings and discussion groups
- Connections to community partners and deeper understanding of the Foundation’s impact.
- Greater awareness of issues facing underserved and overlooked communities and community-led solutions.
- Board Leadership preparedness opportunities.Â
- Valuable networking opportunities with a group of like-minded young professionals working in various sectors.Â
- Special invitations to Foundation events.Â
- Active involvement in creating solutions for underserved and overlooked communities through partnership with The Foundation.Â
- Opportunities to host ELN gatherings.

The Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) provides emerging leaders with a clear path to channel their energy into community service and local giving. This group focuses on driving real change by partnering with local organizations and civic leaders to address our area’s needs. ELN members act as active advocates for the community, raising awareness in their networks, making personal commitments, and serving as vital ambassadors for The Foundation for Northwest Illinois.
