The Workshop Galena was awarded $10,000 in our 2022 Spring Grant cycle to assist in funding a wheelchair accessible van. Adventure for All is a program to promote diversity and inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the community. The disabled community is all too often forgotten about. Many individuals do not get a chance to participate in local outings while in their home setting due to transportation issues or lack of supervision. Our program is designed to help adults with disabilities discover and participate in all our community has to offer. With trained staff and a reliable vehicle, they will be able to visit museums, parks, restaurants and other attractions without worry. Our individuals will be able to enjoy the company of their friends in a fun and positive way while practicing social and communication skills with the general public. In turn, our community members will have more interaction with the disabled population.
