Today, The Foundation for Northwest Illinois announced at a press conference the establishment of 2 funds geared toward supporting youth in Freeport and Stephenson County. Marilee & Ted Odendahl have established a fund in their son Ian’s name that will, in perpetuity, support the work of the Boys & Girls Club of Freeport & Stephenson County. A new fund has also been established to provide an annual scholarship to an African American student graduating from Freeport High School who is the first generation in their family attending any vocational, two-year, or four-year post-secondary educational program. The Rachel & Roy Sellers Sr. Scholarship Fund has been established by their children. To help further the goals of these funds, you may also contribute here.
