The past couple of years have been a time of reflection and strategic thinking for The Foundation for Northwest Illinois. As part of that reflection and strategic movement forward, we are proud to announce promotions and title changes.
“I am so proud to have such a talented and committed staff. Each member of this team has really stepped up to ensure that our stakeholders receive the best possible customer experience, and that our community gets the resources it needs to thrive,” said Michelle DeHaven Quast, CEO. “These changes to our organizational structure will allow us to continue to amplify the impact of our work and strengthen our commitment to supporting the Northwest Illinois region.”
Jill Freese, who joined The Foundation as Office Administrator in 2023, has been promoted to Director of Operations and Grant & Scholarship Manager. In her dual capacity, Jill will continue to refine the overall operations of the organization while engaging donors, fund holders, students and nonprofit leadership throughout the scholarship and grant seasons.
Sarah Flashing Clow, who joined The Foundation 2022, first, as marketing consultant and then Director of Community Relations, has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. This shift in responsibilities allows Sarah in this new capacity to focus on donor development and partnership cultivation while identifying new opportunities for growth, developing and implementing long-term strategies and plans that align with The Foundation’s overall mission and goals.
In addition, Drew Broge of Solutions Bank, has recently been elected to the Board of Directors for The Foundation for Northwest Illinois. For many years, Drew has served on The Foundation’s Grants Committee and volunteered in various other capacities. The Foundation is excited to have him on board!
