Prevention/Treatment Memorial Fund Grant Application Process
Freeport Community Foundation
Freeport Community Foundation makes it easy for you to apply for a grant online. Please read the instructions below before beginning an application. All FCF grant applications should be made online unless otherwise noted.
Grant applications with all required items must be submitted by 4:00 pm on the deadline date for funding consideration.
Step 1: Review eligibility, guidelines & deadlines
The spring and fall grants have guidelines for eligibility, application and deadlines for submission of proposals.
Please read the guidelines before applying. You may preview the grant application by clicking on this link: Public Apply Page
Step 2: Create an account
Visit our online grant application system at the Foundant website to provide one login email address/password to be used for all your submissions.
Provide the email address of the person ultimately responsible for the grant administration. FCF will communicate all pertinent information to this email address.
Step 3: Complete the online grant application
Your application can be saved as a draft, and when you log on again it’s easy to return to that draft, make edits, and submit the application. Each account maintains a record of the application history that you can access at any time.
Step 4: FCF will review your application
Your grant application is reviewed by the grant committee. The committee’s recommendations for funding are reviewed by Freeport Community Foundation’s board of directors. During this process, our staff may contact you for more information.
Step 5: Recipients announced
You will be notified by mail if your organization received full or partial funding or if funding has been denied. Decisions are typically made within 4-6 weeks after the application deadline.
Step 6: Complete the follow-up reports
The Foundation requires follow-up reports if your grant is approved. The follow-up reports can be found at our online grant application system. If you have applied for and received a grant previously, additional grants will not be considered until the follow-up reports from your previous grant are on file in the Foundation office.
