The grant application process opens on January 30 and closes on March 30. Application procedures and grant guidelines are available at www.freeportcf.org/grants. “Under our new timeline of a once-annual community needs grant cycle, we can become more focused on outcomes and impact,” stated Michelle DeHaven-Quast, Freeport Community Foundation CEO. “This change provides our office additional time to better understand the needs of nonprofits in our region and prompt greater philanthropic participation.”
Online applications must be submitted to the Freeport Community Foundation by 4:00 pm March 30, 2023. Any nonprofit organization serving the communities and residents of Stephenson, Jo Daviess, and Carroll counties may apply. Grant awards will be announced by June 1, 2023. The Freeport Community Foundation is particularly interested in funding initiatives that are collaborative, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the community.
Granting opportunities through the Foundation’s other restricted funds will be announced as they become available throughout the year. Watch the Foundation’s website and social media channels for updates.
